Karen Braden, RN, MS, CPNP, is a pediatric nurse practitioner. She is part of the team that cares for children with allergy and immune disorders.
Before joining the Pediatric Allergy & Immunology team in 2019, she spent more than a decade at UVA Health Children's caring for patients in the emergency department and pediatric intensive care unit.
She went into nursing because she “loves improving the lives of children.”
Karen adds, “I strive to provide superlative patient-centered care, and to make coming to the doctor office as stress free as possible for patients and their families.”
She attended Keuka College in New York where she received her bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN). At Columbia University School of Nursing, Karen went on to earn a master’s degree to become a pediatric nurse practitioner.
