Katherine “Katie” Lohr, PhD (pronouns: she/her), is a licensed clinical psychologist. She earned her doctorate in clinical psychology with a concentration in child and adolescent psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University and then completed an internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Nemours Children’s Health. She specializes in the assessment and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders.
She is skilled at helping parents address challenging behaviors, including tantrums, toileting, noncompliance, sleep, elopement, and aggression, in neurodivergent children.
Lohr also has expertise in the assessment of autism among children with Down syndrome and adapting therapy techniques for children with intellectual disabilities.
She uses a range of therapy modalities including cognitive and behavioral therapy (CBT), family systems therapy, parent training, motivational interviewing, and general behavior modification.
