As a child, Katie Riley, PA-C, was curious and observant. Raised by a nurse and a high school English teacher, she loved flipping through pages of her mother's nursing journals and imagining what her mother's day-to-day tasks were. Her father's educational style was focused on engaging discussions rather than lecturing. This philosophy carried through into Riley's approach to patient care.
"I listen and talk patients through my own thought process," Riley says. "I like to educate and include them in decision-making about their own care. I try to meet them where they are." By listening, talking and thinking through challenging diagnoses and treatments, Riley's goal is to find the best solution for meeting individual needs and optimizing health.
