Kathryn Gabler, RN, MSN, AG-PCNP, is a nurse practitioner specializing in caring for adult patients with hematologic disorders. Born and raised in Richmond, Gabler attended Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she received a bachelor’s in psychology. She then went on to pursue an additional bachelor’s in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Gabler began her nursing career as a registered nurse at VCU working in the acute oncology unit. She then transitioned to VCU Massey Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office to take on the role of clinical research nurse coordinator. She was the study site contact for many of the solid tumor investigator-initiated trials from 2014 to 2018. In 2015, Gabler decided to return to school part time to become a nurse practitioner. She attended VCU and graduated with a master of science in nursing in May 2018.
Outside of work, Gabler enjoys spending time with her family and friends and is an avid marathon runner.
