Kendra Nicholson is an occupational therapist, who specializes in hand therapy, treating conditions or injuries affecting the shoulder, arm, elbow, wrist, and hand.
Her clinical interests also include lymphedema therapy and rehabilitation for patients with neurological disorders or injuries.
“My practice is very patient-centered,” she says. “I want to know what my patients enjoy, and what their goals are for therapy. I enjoy educating my patients about the therapy process, and how they can be successful by understanding what is happening with their bodies.”
Originally from Harrisonburg, Virginia, Nicholson attended James Madison University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and her Master of Science in Health Sciences degrees. She then went on to pursue her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy degree at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, being active, strength training, hiking, being outdoors, as well as woodworking.
