Kim Leake has spent her adult life in the Charlottesville area. She graduated from Old Dominion University with a bachelors in nursing. She began her career as a pediatric nurse with a focused interest on pediatric oncology patients.
As she continued with her nursing career, she transitioned to adult hematology-oncology with a focus on lymphoma/leukemia patients. In 2009, she went back to school and got her masters and family nurse practitioner degree at Duquesne University.
