Anesthesiologist Lynn Kohan, MD, is medical director of the Pain Management Center, as well as the director for the pain fellowship program at UVA. As a specialist in pain management, she treats all aspects of chronic pain utilizing a multi-modal approach, which includes medication and interventions like neuromodulation.
Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Kohan obtained her medical degree and completed her anesthesiology residency training at Georgetown University prior to coming to UVA for a pain medicine fellowship. She has a particular interest in spine pain, as well as chronic arm and leg pain. Her research focus is on advanced treatments for joint osteoarthritis.
