Bio & Overview
Meaghan Stumpf, MD, (pronouns: she/her) was born in Richmond, Virginia but raised in Malone in upstate New York. She had an early love of science and music. She attended college at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY.
Her clinical interests include treating type 1 diabetes mellitus, type 2 diabetes mellitus, metabolic bone disease, osteoporosis, obesity, and other endocrine disorders. Special interests include support for transplant patients who have endocrine disorders, as well as care of young adult patients with endocrine disorders who are transitioning to adult-based care. Dr. Stumpf focuses on the use of health technology including personal insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors for treatment of diabetes mellitus.
She now lives in Charlottesville with her husband, two children and extended family. They enjoy the mountain scenery and four beautiful seasons that Charlottesville offers.
