She shares, “For my patients, I try to make a comfortable and open setting that is judgment free. I want my patients to feel comfortable expressing their concerns and never feel that they should not advocate for themselves if something does not feel right.”

Megan joined UVA Health in October 2020. Before coming to UVA Health, she was part of a general orthopedics team at a private practice in the Newport News/Williamsburg region. Megan says, “I wanted to become a physician assistant so I could help those around me. For many years, I was sure that I wanted to attend medical school. But after meeting and working with a few PAs, I found that the lifestyle was a much better fit for me, yet still allowed me to provide care to patients in need.”

Megan was born in Germany but spent most of her childhood and adult life in Virginia. At Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA, she obtained her bachelor’s degree in biology as well as minors in chemistry and psychology. In 2017, she earned a Master in Physician Assistant Studies from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina.

Outside of work, Megan enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, two dogs, and son. She shares, “You can often find us kayaking, hiking, or enjoying the many activities that Charlottesville has to offer.”
