Highlights
Meet Muneeb Rehman, MD
I'm Muneeb Rehman, I'm a GI oncologist at UVA Health. I specialize in providing systemic therapies such as chemotherapy and new, cutting-edge, targeted and immunotherapies to patients with cancers in the GI tract. The part of the patient interaction or the patient experience that really drives me is the ability to provide comfort to patients in a time that is very trying and difficult. Oftentimes, patients come to me with a lot more questions than answers, a lot more uncertainty than guidance, and I feel like that part of the experience, being able to provide that comfort, provide that guidance is something that really stands out to me. We really are driven to take science that's in the lab, on the bench side and bring it to the clinic, and being able to provide the most cutting-edge care to patients. I think what we pride ourselves in is having a collaborative approach, so working with surgeons, radiation oncologists, radiologists, making sure that we're all on the same page, having that multidisciplinary, cutting-edge care.
