Bio & Overview
As an obstetrician-gynecologist, Claire Scrivani, MD (pronouns: she/her), specializes in women’s health throughout the lifespan.
She provides routine and complex pregnancy care – from preconception to postpartum care – and performs a wide range of gynecological procedures.
A native of Albemarle County, Dr. Scrivani enjoys serving women and families in her home community. She strives to build relationships with her patients and considers them valuable members of the care team.
“I love listening to my patients and working with them to create the best care plan for them,” Dr. Scrivani says.
After earning her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Virginia Tech, Dr. Scrivani completed a research fellowship on cancer immunotherapy at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. She earned her medical degree and completed her internship and residency at the University of Virginia.
Outside of work, Dr. Scrivani and her husband enjoy going to live music performances. She also enjoys hiking and biking.
