Bio & Overview
Dr. Kunk earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee. He completed his internal medicine residency and a fellowship in hematology & oncology at the University of Virginia. Dr. Kunk is board certified in internal medicine.
During his fellowship at UVA, Dr. Kunk was recognized as Hematology/Oncology Chief Fellow and received the Joseph H. Farrow Research Award.
Dr. Kunk manages patients with gastrointestinal cancers, including cancers of the colon, rectal, pancreas, liver, neuroendocrine system, bile duct, esophagus, stomach and small intestine. He has research interests in immunotherapy and combination chemotherapy.
In his spare time, Dr. Kunk enjoys rowing, curling and hiking.
