Bio & Overview

Samuel Cross, MD, is a general pediatrician who sees children for well visits, school and sports physicals, ADHD, and other general pediatric conditions. 

Dr. Cross was born and raised in Richmond. He attended University of Virginia for his undergraduate degree, medical school and residency. In between, he lived and worked in Siavonga, Zambia, where he managed a commercial fishing company. He started at UVA Augusta Pediatrics in 2020. 

He and his wife, Shelby, have four boys (Porter, Milo, Charlie, and Shepard). Most of his life outside of work involves spending time with his family.

We are so incredibly impressed by and grateful for Dr. Cross. He always takes his time during the appointment to hear our concerns, allows us to ask questions, and is so thorough and clear in his communication regarding a care plan for my child. He is personable and so kind and respectful to my child and to our family. Best pediatrician we have ever had!

Dr. Cross was amazing! We were so impressed by his kind composure and knowledge when in regards to his patients. As first time parents, this not only put us at ease but allowed us to feel comfortable to ask questions and address concerns. He also was able to address concerns and gave well detailed explanations in regards to our son's care. Dr. Cross also took the time to build a repertoire with us as parents, which was much appreciated. All around, our visit was an exemplary example of wonderful care. Thank you to the Augusta Peds team!

Dr. Cross is absolutely wonderful! We are very thankful to have him as our son's pediatrician. He always makes our son feel comfortable as well as listened to. He takes the time to know his patients well, talks to them instead of around so they are included in their care.
