Susette Litwiller, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She specializes in obesity medicine, providing care to those who struggle with obesity and related health problems.
Litwiller grew up in a small town in Ohio and later moved to central Illinois. There she earned her nursing degree from Mennonite College of Nursing, in Normal, IL, and her master of science in nursing, family nurse practitioner, from Illinois State University.
She started her nursing career in obstetrics and went on to work as a school nurse and in employee health before becoming a nurse practitioner.
“I have had personal experience as a patient and recognize the impact that providers can have,” she says. “I have many of the same struggles my patients have and I truly wish to help them improve their health. I strive to listen to their concerns and needs and work with them to discover how to overcome barriers to improving their health.”
Litwiller is a member of the Obesity Medicine Association where she completed continuing education with a focus on managing the disease of obesity. She is currently working toward advanced certification in obesity medicine.
When not working, she enjoys hiking, bicycling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
