Sydney Brown, AuD, is an audiologist who focuses on cochlear implants, hearing aids, and diagnostics.
“I enjoy the relationships formed with patients as we help them hear,” she says. “The ability to hear changes lives. Part of helping people hear involves learning about their lifestyle and communication needs. I actively listen in order to meet those needs.”
Brown grew up in Buchanan, where she spent a lot of her time on the James River. She knew she wanted to be an audiologist when she was 10 years old.
She earned her doctor of audiology at James Madison University and completed her fourth-year externship at UVA Health.
