Bio & Overview
Tessy K. Paul, MD, is the medical director of the Interstitial Lung Disease Program and center director for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation Care Center Network at UVA. Caring for patients in both the medical intensive care unit and in the outpatient pulmonary clinic, she specializes in treating patients with interstitial lung disease and a wide range of pulmonary diseases. This includes patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, connective tissue disease, hypersensitivity pneumonitis, sarcoidosis and more. In addition to her clinical work, Paul is actively involved in both registries and clinical trials for patients with interstitial lung disease.
Paul received her medical degree and completed a residency in internal medicine at University of Maryland. She then completed a pulmonary disease fellowship at University of California in Los Angeles.
