Timothy “Max” Hoggard, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in benign and malignant bone and soft tissue tumors in children and adults.
He also treats metastatic bone disease, pathologic fractures, and orthopedic traumas.
Dr. Hoggard grew up in Gainesville, Florida. He studied biology and physiology at the University of West Florida and attended medical school at the University of South Florida.
He completed an orthopedic surgery residency at UVA Health, where he served as administrative chief resident. He also completed an orthopedic trauma fellowship at Prisma Health Upstate in Greenville, South Carolina, and a musculoskeletal oncology fellowship at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.
Dr. Hoggard is the author of many articles and book chapters on a variety of topics.
