Meet Varsha Pothula, MD
Hi, I am Varsha Pothula. I'm a UVA Health Nephrologist at Lynchburg. We take care of patients with kidney diseases, from mild kidney disease to very advanced kidney disease, as well as taking care of dialysis patients as well. The thing that made me like nephrology most, was it is like the most interesting field of medicine, which involves a lot of physiology and mechanisms, and understanding those mechanisms to treat the patients in a better way. And I think that's what made me interested towards nephrology. I try to explain the condition, like the kidney conditions as much as possible in as normal terms as possible. And also answer all your questions. And when I talk to patients, I see them not as a patient, but a person.
