Highlights
Dr. Zhenqi Liu Video Profile
My name is Zhenqi Liu, I'm a clinical endocrinologist at the University of Virginia. I see a broad range of patients with endocrine disorders. Another term is with hormonal issues, with major focus on thyroid disorders and diabetes. So, when a patient comes to see us, we will do a detailed evaluation and we take their history and do a detailed physical examination and we will make a necessary assessment of the hormonal status and to correlate those changes with their symptoms and then decide whether they have any hormonal disorders or not, which can explain their symptoms. At UVA, we emphasize collaboration among physicians and among different departments. I'm passionate about several things. One is to help patients to relieve whatever symptoms they have from hormonal disorders, but my major passion is to hopefully someday I can develop a cure for patients with diabetes.
