Cancer Clinical Research Support

Cancer clinical research at UVA aims to fulfill the mission of the Cancer Center at large through a robust clinical trials program.

The mission of the UVA Cancer Center is to reduce the burden of cancer for the patients of today, through skilled, integrated and compassionate care and to eliminate the threat of cancer for the patients of tomorrow, through research and education in an environment that promotes diversity and equity.

Cancer Clinical Trials Infrastructure

The UVA Cancer Center has a vibrant clinical trials infrastructure, which provides central management and oversight for coordinating, facilitating, and reporting on cancer clinical trials.

Visitor Guidelines

Clinics & COVID-19 Patients: No Visitors 

For adult clinic appointments or those in the hospital with COVID-19:

  • No one can come with you into clinic buildings
  • No visitors at the bedside of COVID-19 cases
  • The care team can allow standard exceptions 

In Hospital, ED, & Procedures: 1 Visitor

For adults in the hospital, emergency department, or having medical procedures:

  • Only 1 visitor allowed at a time
  • Two visitors can be designated
  • The care team can allow standard exceptions

Virtual Options: Connect From a Distance

When you can't visit in person, you can still:
