Meet OB-GYN Eugene Louie Ng, MD
Hi, my name is Eugene Louis-Ng. I am an OB-GYN with UVA Health. I am a general obstetrician and gynecologist. I deliver babies, and I also provide gynecologic care. I do surgery as well. And so I do and I see a whole spectrum of patients from adolescents through into menopause as well. In my third year clinical rotation, I started with internal medicine, with general surgery, and OB-GYN was the third one. People always had smiles on their faces because it was the happiest unit in the hospital. And I knew as I was going through it that that's the kind of environment I want to work in. I like to practice in a very collaborative manner. So I like to engage and try to engage the patient, but ultimately as a partnership for their care. Passionate about learning. I’m passionate about teaching. I always want to learn something new every day. And as a physician, my goal every day is to make sure I teach something every day. So that's a very important part of my life. At UVA Health, we really do have a collection of world-class physicians who provide outstanding care for the community. And I've been working here for 25 years, and I have implicit trust in these providers myself.
