Highlights
Meet OB-GYN Stacy Dehal, MD
My name is Dr. Stacy Dehal. I'm one of the obstetrician-gynecologists here at UVA Health and the current chairman of the department of OB-GYN here at Prince William Medical Center. I provide both prenatal care and gynecological care to our women of the community, and I also provide gynecological care, including GYN surgeries. My mother was a registered nurse, and we just had lots of friends who were in the medical field, both nurses and doctors, and so I was exposed pretty early. She would take me to work a lot, and I just said I was going to be a doctor, and never swayed, never changed. I've been in the area for 27 years. I bump into people all the time, or they're now coming to the office as a new patient, and they'll tell me, "You delivered me." That is just the coolest thing for me. I'm passionate about women doing their monthly self-breast exams and getting their annual mammograms. I believe that's really important to their health. I think that someone should come to UVA for their care because it's a special group of doctors. We're well trained. We get along very well together. Most of us have known each other for years. We're very up to date with the current procedures and technology, so I think it's a great place to be.
