UVA's bariatric program offers weight loss procedures that include:
- Gastric bypass
- Gastric sleeve
- SADI (single anastomosis duodeno–ileal bypass)
- ESP (endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty)
These techniques reduce the size of the stomach to allow the loss of life-threatening weight. We no longer offer lap band or gastric balloon surgeries. Your provider will discuss the different options available to find the best one for you.
