Bio & Overview
Arthur (AJ) Pesch, MD, is an associate professor in the Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging. He specializes in interpreting medical imaging of the abdomen and pelvis, including ultrasound, CT, and MRI.
Pesch also performs minimally invasive, image-guided procedures, including solid organ biopsies for diagnostic purposes and therapeutic procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, and abscess drain placements.
He is the program director for the Abdominal Imaging Fellowship and serves on the School of Medicine Admissions Committee. He previously served as the president of the radiology department’s Keats Alumni Society.
Pesch completed his radiology residency and fellowship at UVA.
