Highlights
Dr. Douglas Markert video profile
Doug Markert:I'm Doug Markert. I'm an interventional radiologist. What pushed me toward interventional radiology was just the vast potential of this specialty. To think that we can treat all these different conditions, including vascular conditions and tumors through one needle stick, seemed very beneficial to the patients and seems like the future of medicine. The procedures I'm known for are vascular procedures. This would include the arteries and veins, including conditions where we treat aneurysms. We can treat blockages in vessels, or bleeding in vessels, as well as delivering medicines into the body to treat tumors. I'm also very active in treating varicose veins. New patients can expect a tremendous patient experience. From the first time you contact us, we will see you, evaluate you and make you as comfortable as possible and make sure you get the best service with low complications so you can get back to living your life the way you want to. The most rewarding part of my job is when I get to follow patients up in my office after seeing them, and seeing them back to living their life, and being productive in what they want to do.
