Bio & Overview
Kirkland W. Davis, MD, FACR, is a diagnostic radiologist with a special interest in sports medicine imaging, pediatric musculoskeletal radiology, bone and soft tissue neoplasms, and musculoskeletal interventions.
He serves as the Director of Radiography and Director of Teleradiology at UVA Health.
Voted “Teacher of the Year” 3 times, Dr. Davis continues his pursuit to train the next generation of physicians.
“I am thrilled to be working at UVA and living in beautiful Central Virginia after a successful first 22 years of my career at the University of Wisconsin,” he says.
Dr. Davis has established himself as a leader in the field of diagnostic radiology throughout his lengthy career. He is a founding member and past president of the Society of Academic Bone Radiologists. He is in the officer track for the Society of Skeletal Radiology.
Dr. Davis is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences. He also co-authored several textbooks, has published numerous book chapters and journal articles, and is a regular contributor to STATDx and RADPrimer, resource guides for practicing radiologists.
