A double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized, 18-month Phase 2a study to evaluate the efficacy, safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of oral UCB0599 in study participants with early Parkinson’s disease
Study Description

The Adult Neurology’s Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Division seeks adults ages 40 to 75 with Parkinson’s Disease for a research study. The purpose of the study is see if an experimental drug (UCB0599) slows down disease progression over 12 to 18 months.

You may be eligible for this study if: you’ve been diagnosed with PD within the last 2 years and you have never taken medication to treat the motor symptoms of PD.

Study involves taking an experimental medication, MRI and DaT-SPECT scans, and blood draws. Visits occur once every 1-2 months for a total of 16 visits over 19 months. Each visit will last around 1-2hrs with the option of having some visits occur virtually from home.

Study-related exams, imaging, and testing are provided free of charge.

Compensation

up to $75 per visit for travel related expenses
