Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) Care

When eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) inflames your esophagus, your throat can swell and make it difficult to swallow.

Our specialized team of GI experts, nutritionists and allergists work together to diagnose this condition. We find the root cause of the inflammation and collaborate with you on finding the best treatment.

Complicated C. difficile Care

We treats patients with recurrent Clostridium difficile (C.diff) infections. The C. diff bacteria can cause severe diarrhea and even life-threatening infections. When antibiotics fail to work, the clinic uses Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT), an effective treatment that cures the infection in about 90% of patients. We use pre-screened stool from OpenBiome, a non-profit stool bank.

FMT Recipients

To qualify for FMT, you must have either of the following:

  • Two documented episodes of mild to moderate C. diff that have not responded to 6-8 weeks of treatment with antibiotics
  • One documented episode of severe C. diff infection that permits hospital admission

Referral only: Contact your PCP

Patient Information

What to Expect at Your First Visit

During your first visit, we will determine if you are a candidate for FMT. If you qualify, the procedure will generally be scheduled 1-2 weeks later. You will be seen by doctors from one or more subspecialties, and your case will be reviewed by a multidisciplinary team.

Please do not bring a stool sample to your initial clinic visit.

Cost & Insurance

The clinic visits, laboratory studies and colonoscopy are considered part of the general work-up for diarrhea. Depending upon your insurance, your policy may cover these costs. You will be responsible for any copays required by your insurance.
