Pulmonary & Respiratory Care

At UVA, four of our specialties were honored as “high performing” by U.S. News & World Report, including our pulmonary services, which places them among the top 10 percent in the nation.

More than 35 million Americas suffer from chronic lung diseases, the third-leading cause of death in the United States behind heart disease and cancer. And the number of deaths from lung disease are increasing, while death rates from heart disease and cancer are declining.

We're experts in diagnosing and treating chronic pulmonary and respiratory conditions, from asthma to lung cancer to sleep disorders.
